This page is for Indonesians in Singapore who need a Nomor Induk Tunggal (NIT) from KBRI Singapore. That usually means you have no eKTP or valid NIK, and you need one for SAKE or for Dukcapil to legalize a birth certificate.
If you already have an eKTP with a NIK, you do not need this.
NIT is treated like a NIK. KBRI Singapore issues it. You still have to go in person for photo, fingerprints, and iris scan, the same as making an eKTP in Indonesia.
Register on Peduli WNI, then WhatsApp KBRI Singapore
The portal is Peduli WNI. Create an account if you do not have one (one email per person), then follow this order. Skipping the WhatsApp steps is how people get stuck with a form they cannot submit.
- Complete lapor diri on Peduli WNI. Save the confirmation email and the number that starts with
LD-. - WhatsApp +65 9295 3964 with your name and that
LD-number. - KBRI will set your lapor diri status to PENDING.
- With that pending status, go back to Peduli WNI and apply for Penerbitan NIT under Layanan / Service.
- WhatsApp the same number again with your NIT registration number.

Register for an appointment
On 2 January 2026, KBRI Singapure has launched online appointment registeration system. Go to https://register.indonesianembassy.sg/ to register an appointment.
If you also want a new Kartu Keluarga that includes your child, say so in that WhatsApp or email. KBRI can process it together.
What to bring
Once appointment is confirmed, bring:
- Indonesian passport
- NRIC
- Lapor diri confirmation email (from step 1)
- NIT application email from Peduli WNI after you submitted Penerbitan NIT
- Kartu Keluarga. Your parents' electronic KK in Indonesia is enough, even if your name is no longer on it. They need the eKK to check the civil-registry system. A paper-only KK is not useful here.
- Name-change documents, if you have them
- Adoption documents, if you have them
If you have dual citizenship, or a child under 21 who has not renounced yet, also bring:
- Foreign passport
- Parent's passport (for a child under 21)
- Certificate of foreign citizenship
At KBRI
After you completed the process, you'll receive a printed soft copy of your eKTP showing the new NIT. That is the document you use for AHU and for legalizing a birth certificate. Some Dukcapil offices will refuse legalization if you have no eKTP or valid NIK.
Children under 21
You can ask KBRI to issue NIT for a child on the same appointment. The child must attend.
They do not do photo, biometrics, or iris scan unless the child is 17 or older. If the child is under 17, you come back at 17 for that recording.
The point of getting the NIT early: when they renounce between 18 and 21, the AHU file already has a number.
